Feel the love Sundays @ 10:30

WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IN WORSHIP

Easter Sunday

Celebrate Easter with us in a service full of life, meaning, and joy. We’ll reflect on why Easter still matters – not just as a story from long ago, but as a powerful promise for today. With great music, a message that speaks to the heart of our world right now, and a vibrant kids’ program featuring an Easter egg hunt and egg dyeing (with some eggs shared with our unhoused neighbors), it’s a morning for all ages to feel the hope and renewal that Easter brings. Come as you are – there’s a place for you here.

I Love Jesus, But Hate (Some) Church Leaders

Most every time someone has been hurt by the church (and that has happened – a lot!) it has been because some church “leader” has fallen prey to some form of ego, sex, money, or power. It started at the beginning and has been causing folk to run from the church ever since! In 1 Timothy 3, Paul emphasizes leadership and the well-ordering of the church as the “pillar and buttress of the truth.” So why is it so hard for church folk to be servants that build-up God’s Body and a source of strength for Jesus’ followers?

OUR VISION

Grounded in Love

In a time of increasing partisanship and division, Hillside Community Church boldly imagines a world in which people of every race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, gender expression, and sexual orientation can come together to meet, talk, listen, share, explore, and grow in love.

Each week, through worship that draws on the deepest insights of the Christian scriptures and through active programs of community service and outreach, the Hillside community works to build just such a world.

If you are looking to be part of an action-oriented, love-centered Christian community, we’d love to have you join us!
