WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IN WORSHIP

Pray Like This

We recite the Lord’s Prayer every week, but how often do we stop to consider its meaning? This five-week sermon series will explore each phrase of this beloved prayer, uncovering its historical, theological, and practical significance. Together, we’ll reflect on what it means to call God our Father, seek his kingdom and will on earth, and ask for daily bread, forgiveness, and deliverance from evil. Whether these words are familiar or new to you, this series will deepen your understanding and renew your connection to this cornerstone of Christian faith.

Our Daily Bread

When Jesus taught us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” he invited us into a life of radical trust, shared provision, and daily awareness of God’s presence. This prayer, so simple yet profound, challenges us to let go of fear and hoarding, to live in the present, and to open our hearts to God’s mercies that are new every morning. This sermon reflects on how bread—ordinary and sacred—points us to God’s care for our needs, our call to seek justice for others, and the presence of Christ, the Bread of Life. ✨
