Feel the love Sundays @ 10:30a

WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IN WORSHIP

Laity Sunday

This Sunday is Laity Sunday at Hillside — a celebration of the wisdom, creativity, and spirit of our congregation. Instead of the usual sermon, you’ll hear reflections from fellow church members, sharing how their faith meets real life in work, relationships, and daily decisions. With music led by our own talented folks and a service shaped by voices from the pews, this is a Sunday to be inspired by the faith that lives beyond the pulpit — and within each of us.

The Curtain is Torn, The Tomb Is Empty

The curtain is torn. The tomb is empty. So now what? In this Easter sermon from Hillside, we explore what it means that God's presence is no longer locked behind walls or confined to holy places. Resurrection isn’t just an ancient miracle — it’s happening right now, in kitchens and cubicles, in hobbies and spreadsheets, in all the messy, beautiful corners of real life. The whole world is a temple. And it’s time to live like it.

Scripture References: Matthew 27:45-51, Matthew 28:1-10

OUR VISION

Grounded in Love

In a time of increasing partisanship and division, Hillside Community Church boldly imagines a world in which people of every race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, gender expression, and sexual orientation can come together to meet, talk, listen, share, explore, and grow in love.

Each week, through worship that draws on the deepest insights of the Christian scriptures and through active programs of community service and outreach, the Hillside community works to build just such a world.

If you are looking to be part of an action-oriented, love-centered Christian community, we’d love to have you join us!
