For a book that’s so often considered the domain of the prudest of prudes, the Bible makes mention of an astoundingly large number of prostitutes.
One prostitute, for instance, is entirely responsible for the prophet Hosea’s insights into the nature of God’s love. Another prostitute, arguably two others are even counted among the direct ancestors of Jesus.
So why should we scale back our judgy-ness at the way other people live their lives?
Why should we look down our noses a little less and open our hearts a little more?
Because none of us has any way of knowing what world changing miracle of love God is going to work though the life
of that person we are all too happy to write off as no good.
